I've just done the larger landing pad, so the space port is done for now. There are four smaller landing pads i'd like to do, but I need to get started on the palace if i have time tomorrow.

Back to the blocking stuff out stage again. I've cut down the arches from my hive overpasses to make the main part of the palace façade, lots of work still to be done. Shame they are painted such a dark shade of grey (that is grey, not black, but very dark) but they probably won't get a re-paint.

I decided it would be a great idea to set fire to the banners to make them look battle damaged



Also gives me a chance for show off Firestorm's imperator for scale – nabbed it on ebay a couple of months back, only realising afterwards it had been converted by one of taccom's own!

Not had much hobby time today, made a start on cutting out the cereal packet layers to detail the gatehouse front. Already wish i hadn't made the gate curved, as it's going to be a lot of curve cutting for all the layers to make the stepped recess of the frame.

blllergh, lots of cardboard cutting for the gate/gatehouse, if i'd used thinner card the gate details would have been a lot easier …
