Does anyone upgrade their formations with the infantry upgrades? They seem prohibitively expensive. For instance, I'd expect 24 Dark Eldar Warriors spread between three formations to be cheaper than the 24 spread between four formations. It's actually the other way around though, it's cheaper to buy 4 formations of 6 (800) than it is to buy 3 formations of 8 (900). That goes against the way most EA lists are structured. That's why I'm curious to see if people actually use the infantry upgrades. If they're not being used how about some price reductions? Haemonculi to +100 Hellions to +50 Incubi to +75 Mandrakes to +75 Reavers to +50 Scourges to +75 Warp Beasts to +50 Warriors to +50 Wyches to +50 |

A price cut for rarely used upgrades seems sensible. When Epic-UK create their version of lists, mostly using the Net-EA lists as a starting point, they often comment in the design notes at the end that they find the Net-EA costs for upgrades too high and have reduced them. Doing a quick comparison with the Epic-UK DE list shows they've stripped out above half the options for upgrades, but those that are there are costed at the prices your suggest in your above list. |

When Moscovian and I made the list we made the upgrades cost that much specifically so no one would take them. It made sense at the time I swear. |

A bit late to the party... The only one I've taken is the incubi, but only in one game. After that I found it to expensive. I have not taken any of the others. As you say they are way to expensive. Who's the AC for the list? Is it you Dave? |
