Currently I'm using my Ulthwe wraithguard as blades at the moment and will model later when I'm happy wth the unit

I made mine with Howling Banshee swords or scratch-built axes (plasticard and thin styrene rod) - cut the guns off the wraithguard, trim the front of the torso a bit, and then glue new weapons at the shoulders.

These are splendid! I only wish I had enough spare Wraithguard to actually start carving them up...

Lol, I am spent as I don't have anymore Batreps to type presently ;)
I am still eager to read about anyone else's forays with Iyanden ;D

I have been considering Tiny-Tims suggestions regarding the spirit stones.
Blast Markers definitely have a significant impact on wraithformations, especially since the Spiritseers lost their plus one initiative. I think this current weakness is important should we get the list over the line for approval. However I think the idea of purchasing the leader ability through the
"Spirit stones" has some merit and wouldn't compromise that weakness too much.

What do others think?

The negative:
Some of the reports are done with illegal lists and some with playing the rules incorrect. I can understand if someone forgets a rule now and then but playing with legal lists shouldn't be a problem if you're gonna use them for assesment. To me thats a no-brainer and something that you don't mess up. Especially if you're in the ERC.

The positive:

I think you guys have made a great job so far with the list. It feels like the Iyanden list is back in "the ligjt" as a highly playable list since the recent changes (smaller formations, Wraithguard taking up 2 places per stand in Vampires etc).
We're having a tournament next friday and one player will be playing the list. I'll ask him to do a report when he meets another aporoved NetEA list. Or is EpicUK lists valid as opponents for playtesting to?

I look forward to the results. To my mind tournaments always provide the best testing environment.

IMO, E-UK lists are just as valid from a testing perspective. That said, I prefer tests against the core lists because many / most of the later lists have suffered from power creep to some extent, a good example being the recent DKoK lists of both Net:EA and E-UK.

OH legit list too.....
You might want to check that again, it's 1:2 not 1:4 ;)

And as always you manage to pull off some crazy moves. :)
Dethstrikes survives and manages to shoot the Warlock even when they fail to activate in turn 1
Stormserpents is not shot down but mostly ignored

Nice to see so many reports from you, how "competitive" do you play? When I read the reports I sometimes get the feeling you play more for the fun of it then to win :) Do you guys think about objectives and winning or how is the mood. For example in this game the IG has 3 BTS and you didn't manage to get any of them, that is a very rare build (And it looks like the Reg HQ was whiped out but it did not show in the Victory Condition table)

Also you know that Command only works on units within 5 cm, it's hard to tell on the photos but it looks a little bit long from the Avatar to the Guardians :)

Anyway thanks for the Report!

Thanks Greg for another report, your a machine! ;D

Gents I have made the changes to the list to bring it back into line with the BT list which can be found on the top thread as usual. I have also added titled this list 4.2.3 with the last number indicating the change we are up to. This can also be found on top of the document for ease of referrence, once the list gets approved I will remove this final number. Fire away should you have any questions.

Thanks to all those thus far who have managed to get some Batreps and feedback up on the Iyanden, I really appreciate it. I would encourage anyone how has been contemplating doing a batrep and thus far hasn't to please do so. For those who have been doing reports... Keep them coming ;)
I am interested in seeing what different builds the list can achieve.

Cheers

Mic
