I've updated the playtest changes with the results of the Skitarii Demi-century poll. Please use these in you games and let me know what you think. I'll add these in to the next release PDF.

Awesome! Thanks for the report! Just read through it and my heart sank with the turn one wipe of the Reaver. I have a couple of questions for you if you have a moment.

AMTL kept putting the forge knights on overwatch, what was the rationale for this since it kept them from contributing much to the game?

For the skitarii you mention you are unsure about the price bump, this was to match the cost in the skitarii list since the corvus isn't required any longer. What point cost do you think would be fair for them for them?

I think they are fine costed at 250. While yes the formation is quite slow since they have no dedicated transports, garrisoning with them is still really good for hiding in cover holding objectives. Frees up your titans to be causing all kinds of trouble.

I was thinking the same thing about the forge knights, this morning.. I gather he wanted to hold the Objective, so I could not speed over there and claim it..I think that was highly unlikely on my part..If he had kept moving, he would have had claim my Blitz with them..After brushing aside the vindicator...

As to the skitarii, I had time to digest the game and I would agree with atension comments here..joys of been human..

I was able to get a game in yesterday using the playtest changes for AMTL sans the CML price change. Match was AMTL vs Codex Astartes. Very bloody win for Marines on turn three simply because my opponent forgot to move over the centerline giving me TSNP and DTF. Had some downright horrible rolls to hit against an AMTL warhound that just refused to die. I think he stole some holofields.

Overall thoughts:

Price reduction to the chassis didn't feel over the top. It allowed me to add a few more upgrades to the list over the current AMTL list but that was about it. The net gain over a current AMTL list was 100 points. Enough that I could pull in an extra support formation if I toned back the weapons a bit or upgrade one of the crusaders to a skitarii or other forge knight formation.

I don't think its wrong. Three warlord lists are tough to shift but they tend to have difficulty getting objectives. Hopefully the price reductions make it a touch more competitive. :)

It wasn't even really possible before unless you went with 4 activation's.

I recently acquired a half dozen beetle-back Warlords which makes it very tempting, although swapping one of them for 2 Warhounds and another set of Knights or robots probably makes more sense. Santa brought me a 3D printer and I found a nice model I can print for the Forge Knights (still looking for a Crusader). I'm going to put this together and see how it goes, but I'm pretty limited for opponents these days.

It was doable. You're only getting 150 points more than you had before. I think I used to run 3x warlord, 2x Crusaders, and a Tbolt. That gave me 125 points per warlord for weapons and upgrades.

Yes, but that really only gave you the option of basic weapons and Princeps. Even a Legate meant you needed to drop below the "standard" Warlord loadout for points. 150 extra means you can have a lot of room to make the list look different. Triple Quake or Heavy Plasma are an actual option as are dropping air cover for Multi-lasers (giving a few extra points for even more variety).

True. Though I don't think the CML change will be happening. I feel it may make the Titans too easy to be entirely self sufficient.
