Outside of Titan Legions, and AdMech army can be difficult to collect especially for some of the more iconic units. To help out with that I figured it would be a good idea to make a sticky topic with links to models that work well as proxies in Skitarii armies. How about stuff that can be used after a bit of conversion work? Or is this for straight out of the box proxies? |

I was doing out of the box for now, but that's obviously going to be difficult for some stuff like the Majoris or weapons options on them and the minorus so some conversion will be expected. I've got one hull from the reaper CAV line that could make both an excellent Minorus or the start to a majoris I have't listed yet. Go ahead and list and bits that you have that need conversion and we'll figure out how to sort them in time. For instance, I'll probably need to split the minorus into hulls and weapons, and the same for the majoris. |

I was thinking the Dystopian Wars super heavys for minoris platforms, specifically the French,Russian and British ones. |

I've been eyeing the Plasmablast Progenitors myself. They have a high tech feel with modern turrets and armor that is clearly meant to evoke ceramic armor on modern AFVs. For the Minorus, the Tigerclaw. For the Majorus, the Tigerclaw with a Spiderblade tractor unit. For Macharii, the Hammerhead Tank Destroyer Variant. For Chimedons, the Gecko, possibly with a turret swap with the Spiderblade Tank Destroyer. For Sagitarii or Gun Servitors, Progenitor Heavy Infantry look good. Likewise, Progenitor Light Infantry would fit for Secutors or Sagitarii. |

The light infantry could work for regular hypaspists and maybe the heavy infantry for secutors but they just don't feel like the bulk needed for a secutor or the cyborg feel for a gun servitor. |

hmmm.... those I don't think look all that great as AdMech... too victorian (fitting for the setting they are in) not enough gothic. As for the Russian tanks, particularly the Kursk could work, it has that bit on the back which is perfect for a weapon mount. |

Hmm... On further thought I'm going to hold off adding the Dystopian Wars Russian Kursk as an option for the Minorus because of the price. It's rare you'd need just a single minorus and at what looks like nearly $30 per model it's far more expensive than the other options which makes it less practical. |

Just another note on this, I'll be leaving all the options that are posted in the thread here so if someone decides they don't care about cost or just like something better than what we've got in the list up top they can still reference it without too much difficulty. Don't feel like something that isn't up in the first post isn't a good proxy or shouldn't be used

Having missed the pre-Epic 40,000 days, I have a few questions about how to model a few more things... What in the world does a Corvus Assault Pod look like? Same goes for the Carapace Landing Pad, and all the other weapons that aren't included in still-available titan kits. Would Carapace Multi-Lasers be visible? Thanks! |
