With LSNs being 50 points and LVs, I think they're actually okay. Neither I, nor my opponents, have really had a problem with "cheap" garrisoning when they're used; an opponent just needs to be mindful of objective placement when Nodes are in the enemy army.
As well, they're an easy way for the enemy to rack up synapse kills: Pre-spawning they're very vulnerable. If you teleport them into cover, there's basically a 1-in-6 chance they just die. Sure, you could have 18 in a "Lesser Node Terror" army... hmmm... maybe I'll try that some time... *laugh*
I think the real weak link is the (Greater) Synapse Node. It's cheaper per "unit" at 100, and it regenerates, so I'm not sure why I'm not taking it instead of Lessers for my garrison units... heck, I think I might start taking it just to test it. With the "broodmother" ability, I think it would definitely be a good choice.

I agree with Chroma. LSN as they are are very useful though also extremely vulnerable to attacks and many opponents are catching on to that fact.
As for the (G)SN, I think I only ever fielded them once. I never grasped their purpose as they were not really any better than the LSN, although this was when the list was at the 6.20 or earlier stage. But, on paper it still does not give me reason to purchase it. True, it is a WE that can regenerate but is is immovable and your opponent can harass it with barage or force it to assault (thereby preventing spawning). I think I would rather keep the extra points to put into more `nids to control more of the table with.

I feel that making Lesser Nodes a teleport only unit will go a long way in seperating it out from the Greater Synapse Node.
That said I want to use the LSNs for a bit longer 'as is' with the teleport only mode before making any changes to either the GSN or the LSN.
Thanks for the input all
