I agree with Ortron. ?Using words would be much better for the discriptive wording where they don't have any baring on the statline
So the Ravener would have scything talons
the Hierodule would have multiply scything talons
and the haruspex would have a gribbly amount of scything talons

I still don't get how it can be interpreted as such.
Aside from anything else the critial removes a gargantuan claw attack.
The rules say that they get +4 attacks, and the spirit of the rules seems to imply it too.
