Considering there are Tyranids Spacecraft out there, and there is discussion on Planetfalling bugs, has there been any discussion on Tyranid Spacecraft?

Or has the general consensus been that Tyranids couldn't really have developed Bio-wepons fast enough to shoot through atmospheres?

Doesn't seem very 'Nid. They don't want to destroy but to eat. :D
Plus a list without orbital bombardment adds flavors :D

One of the lists kicking about had spacecraft to allow planetfalling nids but with no orbital bombardment.

I think the general agreement was that it was hard to balance points-wise until Tyranid special rules were in less flux.

The discussion also was concerned about how Tyranids used spacecraft. Many (not all) felt that Tyranids dropped at the moment of planetary invasion, not as a tactical manoeuver in a single battle. The latest try-out-rules used a random deployment mechanism, to mimic a steady bombardment of drop spores.

I think the big question to answer conerning mycetic pods is whether they are connected to the Hive Mind or not. If they are, I see no problem that they would adjust their landing spot towards where the nids need reinforcements. If not, then it is more disputable.

In Epic40k the bugs could use planetfall, which is an indication that mycetic spores are in fact living organisms connected somewhat to the Hive Mind.

But my question was more specific to Spacecraft and Bombardments. Is that plausible?

As in Wh40k Mycetic Spores can attack enemy troops afterlanding i`m sure that they have a sentience of some kind (Ripper level) and thus connected to the Hive Mind.
