The rules for participating are below, if you have questions please post them here. Dates Barring the first one, all of these are subject to change (and likely will).
Categories For the purposes of these categories, Epic models include models from any 6mm sci-fi manufacturer or 6mm conversions. EpiComp respects the IP and copyright of all manufacturers and reserves the right to exclude any entry we feel is unsuitable (PM me if you have questions on this).
Entering You do not have to be a member of these boards to enter (you do to vote however). Just e-mail your entry to epicompetitions [at] gmail [dot] com. Please include the following:
Entries should be models that you've completed during the past year and not previously entered in an EpiComp competition. Entries already posted here or elsewhere on the internet can still be entered. Voting Voting will take place on these boards, so you'll have to be a member here in order to vote. I'll break down each category into heats and the winners of each heat will go onto the final for a second round of voting. Prizes The prizes for the categories will be announced as I get them. If you're thinking about donating something please PM me! EpiComp relies on the community's support and the great manufacturers who make our models for prizes! One prize will be awarded to the winner of each category. A conversion prize will also be awarded to the best conversion across all the categories. This will be decided on by CyberShadow and two other forum members who haven't entered. Any winner will be awarded a maximum of one prize. If an entrant wins two categories they'll be able to choose the prize from either category. The prize from the other category will be awarded to the second-place entry in that category.

It's that time of year again, so I'm posting the rules from last year. I'll be confirming with the DRM, MWG, OM and VM on categories. I'll also see if any other manufacturers want to join. |

I was never able to get votes for the conversion category, it didn't happen. I had a few people PM me about this topic, so to be clear: if the miniatures are publicly available (Shapeways, other various 6mm manufacturers) then they're able to be entered. If the miniatures are sold only over e-mail via a PDF and a PayPal transaction (or they're those miniatures sold on various auction sites) then they are NOT able to be entered. |

I will ask to be clear. Trolls have ebay where they have thwir all Leman Russ and chimera chassis vehciles available, but on theri site they only have executioner and punisher. Would I be able to enter with the models from ebay? Just hipotetical, I dont even have any of these models done yet |

cheers for the clarification Dave. can we submit 3mm vanguard in the 6mm vanguard category? i realise that seems like a question that answers itself as phrased, but looking forward… my vanguard entry last year was actually a very early 3mm test mini, no one seemed to notice |

Given it's John's category and his miniatures I don't think he'd mind the free advertisement. If you're prepared to call them 6mm halflings though it'll help. |

Could even have a dedicated 3mm category if there's enough interest? Either this year or something to keep in min be for next year. I expect Vanguard would be for it and provide a prize for the sake of the publicity. |

I might missunderstood the thing, but what did you mean by 'past year'? In this case is it 2016 or 2017? I am just a bit confused Edit: You probably meant that models shouldn't be done long time ago, but durimg this year |

Painting during the past year. Effectively late Dec. 2016 through mid Dev. 2017. |

To keep this on people's radar, there's just over 5 weeks left. I'm also still looking for prizes. |

Few questions: - are we only allowed to enter each category once, or can we make multiple submissions per category? - can a model appear in more than one category (ex, a war engine entered for best war engine and also part of a formation? - For the Vanguard category, if I have a stand with a mix of Vanguard and GW troops is that acceptable? Or should I pick a stand with all Vanguard troops? |
