Motivated by this Dakka thread, I wanted a place where we can post progress on our collective AT workbenches. I find it's motivating to see some of the ideas of others. Motivated by some of the amazing buildings I'm seeing on the AT18 Facebook group, I put together a plan... (SEE ATTACHMENT) I have four of the the 40K Comm objectives for the tower tops, and I'm thinking of picking up a Marauder bomber to be crashed into the side of one of the towers...

Dreadclaw crashed into the side of one could be a good look too? https://ttgamingdiary.files.wordpress.c ... g_3195.jpg I was inspired to make some really huge terrain by stumbling across the Angelus Prime display board (it's like twenty foot high with 5.5k 40k models on it, craziness). Worth googling though some images of it for ideas. |

Here's another progress pic. With my "stunt" lower level door, you can see how the lowest level will span the entire building, the landing pad will be in the center on "level 2," and I'm still looking for a Marauder of Lightning figure to be crashed into the side of one of the towers...

This is the final - or at least final before basing and painting - build for my Grand Master terrain. I'm pretty happy with the Quad Tower building, intended to be a "centerpiece." and then used all the leftovers to build the other one. Looking forward to getting them based on 1/8" styrene and add some flavor stuff, like small trees, shrubs, wrecks, etc.

Finally getting around to assembling my Warlord - which I'd been putting off till the weapon options I want became available. I customized the head and cowl with knight parts. Need to get my airbrush back in running condition next...

I 3D printed a "stained glass" piece for use with the Civitas Imperialis sets, and will be integrating it into the planned building below. Statues will go on the lower level discs. Just need to figure out what to use for the dome on top now...
