Out of curiousity, do you have any comparison shots of the Eloi Flitters next to the old plastic Falcons, EA Falcons, and EA EOV? Knowing they are supposed to be falcon proxies has made me very interested in them :)

So very late to this party, but have to considered doing some sort of pre-order campaign rather than abandoning 6mm vehicles all together? If you need to sell X models to make cutting the molds make sense, say 'this model will go into production once I have X confirmed pre-orders' means that the model won't be a bomb out of the gate. Maybe have 4-5 models up at a time, and if one hits the pre-order limit or a model sits up for 6 months without hitting the limit then rotate in a new model. I know the modeling still costs money so this isn't ideal, but at least you are investing in molds and stock of models that won't move.

I suppose some of this is the risk of making a proxy range though; some folks will have more than enough already and others won't want to buy until the range is 'complete'. Tough market.

That said, 15mm is definitely an expanding area and lots of folks interested in doing not-40k projects will find your stuff extremely useful! I bet your vehicles would also do very well.

Whatever you end up doing, good luck!

-Will

@wminsing, Sir i'm not abandoning 6mm far from it just being a little more selective in what i'm producing.

Tried the pre-order idea with guarantee that models would be made but most people do not want to pre-order so it was a bit pointless running it for a half dozen takers, so i'm back to doing what I did before.

The 15's have been well received and will see steady expansion with vehicles on the cards for sure.

Cheers John

It occurs to me after reflecting on this long thread and current 40k events that my minis and especially the size issues with them, that now GW have introduced the primaris space marines with no doubt a bunch of new enlarged vehicles to go with them that my elites may well be ideal as primaris proxies alongside regular plastic marines or other smaller proxy figures.

I'm actually keeping an eye on the Primaris developments with a view to making a fan list for them. Will be interesting to see where they go with the new squads types and vehicles. The first blurry pic of a tank i have seen looks like a land raider with a predator turret on top; now where have i seen something like that in 6mm... ;-)

@moredakka It'll be interesting to see the scale of the transport vehicles! But the well-proportioned infantry are definitely well-placed!

@Blip I think the hard thing about making a Primaris list is that Tactical Space Marines should have been that sturdy and dangerous long ago ;) :P 40K Tactical Marines, gameplay-wise, have remained essentially upgraded stormtroopers like they were in Rogue Trader, whereas the background has changed to be more fitting of the Epic statline.

The specialist squads, of course, are the real difference: but I wonder if they've already been done in the Heresy Epic lists, at least to some extent?

I always thought floating Land Raiders and Predators would be cool, though, and Land Raiders always seemed sad without Turrets of Death....

@Thinking Stone, yes indeed i'd be interested in seeing vehicle sizes myself.
