I have no problem woth either resin or metal. I would probably prefer the cheaper option tho ;)

I prefer my ships to be metal :)

But I've lost a resin fleet to the Australian sun, so have been forever burned by the flimsy stuff.

As a fellow occupant of the Sunny Down-Under, I would be concerned with heat-deaths too (proactively, in this case, since I've been un/fortunate enough to never own tiny resin spaceships).

I suppose both have pros et contra, of course. The modelling pros and cons are fairly self-evident (pinning, overall mass, painting) but what's the difference from a manufacturing perspective? Does it make a lot more sense to choose one over the other?

I think weight is a major issue when it comes to models that are a bit larger like cruisers and such.

I can tell you that metal BFG capital ships were a nightmare. Half the reasoning as to buying chinacast, even when they were still on sale from GW, was simply for the weight

Lance Destroyer as good as ready, any final feedback before I ship it off for printing?

Did these 6mm ones a whole while back...

They were based on the 28mm version I did, maybe I should just shrink the 28mm ones and be done with it...

Not sure if I should shrink them to 6mm or do them in 15mm. Might make some fun stuff to shoot at in smaller scale skirmish games.

Por queno nos dos? (Mexican music)

(I should actually find a film clip of that sometime for those without Old El'Paso ads...).

Inspired by the news of Necromunda floating around and by Samsonov's excellent 6 mm Necromunda, I was thinking the other day that it would be nice if there were some 6 mm creations a bit like the GW Mechanicus Ruststalkers. These guys would make very nice robo-fighters in that kind of style!

Started working on my tribute/interpretation of a Kill Ship. Also heavily influenced by that Blood Angels ship from Blood Quest.

The craft has been dubbed the 'Felis class Stealth Ship'. It's a tiny bugger (9.25mm tall, 29.01mm long, 9.89mm wide) that carries weapons that can exterminate entire planets or elite units (including assassins) meant to take out specific targets. A very fast, stealthy, and deadly ship, but totally vulnerable once discovered.

And compared to some of the other ships I've done.

Left (top to bottom): Lynx class Destroyer, Pardinus class Lance Destroyer, Felis class Stealth Ship
Right (top to bottom): Panthera class Heavy Frigate, Escort Carrier (still needs a name), Defence Monitor (still needs a name)

Maybe little too small but overall looks great.

The idea is that it's an infiltration stealth special operations ship it would not need to be big. :)

Fast, manouverable and heavily shielded to allow it to reach it's intended target.
