Anyone seen the new Corvus Dropships from GW?

https://www.games-workshop.com/resource ... star03.jpg

Very similar aesthetic to the Kakapo and Moa VTOLs - I guess that's some kind of back handed compliment!!

By the way, does anybody have the link to the GW site's page for the Corvus? Haven't been able to find it on the site, kinda curious to see that 360 degree view shot. :)

here it is: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/de ... -blackstar

While i don't like the army-wide army deathwatch release, i do quite like the corvus from certain angles.

the top mounted tripple heavy bolter thing is awful, but the overall look has some appeal.

Looks like you could kitbash the weapons easy enough. It's better than most of the gw flyers (FW designs were generally the better ones like lightning's, tbolts, storm eagles came from them)

I'm thinking of buying One for my three year old. But I cannot find information about it. Does it come with batteries? Is the plastic safe to chew?

following this thread I bought a few kakapo to play about with (cheers to dakka for speedy dispatch and delivery!).

If anyone else is planning 'kakapo darksun' conversions this might be useful: approximate re-scale of the images on the GW site to match kakapo size. these are based on the kakapo wingspan, note that the length/width ratio on the kakapo is different from the corvus. The two are about the same overall length, but only because the corvus guns stick out (so a kakapo with stick-out chin guns will come out longer if you scale by wingspan)

How big is the Corvus compared to its Imperial Guard counterpart?

not sure, while the shapes look similar there's quite a lot of differece between the valk and corvus hulls. The kakapo feels undersized for the 'true scale' corvus, and true-scale forum ware bits look a bit big for it. That said, I notice that the valk kit costs more than the corvus :/ I'm also not sure if the corvus and valk come on the same size base? the oval looks fatter for the corvus
