I thought it handy to perhaps share it here as well. I've been wanting to show what can be done with Vanguard Miniatures' models, as well as showing some artwork, background, WIP's, etc. So I've opened up a Tumblr page.

The Wars of Tusculum Nova

Check it, interact with it, share it. :)

If you ever get around to another crowd funder campaign, I was thinking of the perfect armies to lend some more love and possibly some that might need a start to get them going (perhaps a new race or faction).

I think the Eloi need a bit more love. Heavier hover tanks, some support aircraft, a space ship or 2, heavy support jet bikes, some more infantry variants, walker and heavy armoured walker units, armoured robotic infantry (proxies for Wraithguard), hover artillery pieces, and their own proxies for titans.

As to the new race, I was thinking of something that is now impossible to find a manufacturer that makes a decent proxy (without going on shapeways) - A pure robotic race. Perhaps a failed AI experiment that went totally wrong, and the resulting prototypes started making their own armies and started to take over their own small part of the galaxy.

This would be a great proxy army for Necrons. Obviously make the minis, so there is not GW IP problems as you have been doing, Infantry, some form of spider walker, hover transports, aircraft/bombers, spaceships, heavy hover troops, and so on.

I know, I would support all the options as I have wanted to start a Necron, and complete my Eldar armies for some time. Getting decent proxies, or second hand GW minis that do not cost the a weeks pay for a few minis, is almost impossible.

Damn it I have already started to get some Tau minis (a present from a mate who got some Dark Eldar and Sisters from me). I will be also building this army as well. I know you resell Onslaught minis, so I can use the Okami Combine/ Avians and Tzocal minis you have on your website for this.

So many projects (AMTL, Skitarri, Eldar, Tau, Necrons, Demon Engines/Defilers/Obliterators for my Red Corsairs and Traitor Titan Legions armies).

Let me know when you start your new crowd funder.

It is possible I may run another 6mm funder during the coming year but nothing is settled yet on that front.

The Eloi are on my list of factions that need major expansion, I had hoped to have released a few grav tanks before the end of the year but that was not meant to be, rest assured that we will be doing some in the first quarter of 2019.

There are a huge number of items on my to do list for the existing factions as well as possible new factions we are looking into, but all these things take considerable time to design and manufacture. A crowd funder can finance a lot of models but you need to have those models designed first and that is where the bottleneck occurs. Now if I could afford to commission 6 or even 8 designers to be working for me full time well then I'd be making a real hole in that list but I cannot so we must roll at a slower pace.

I have made a considerable number of releases this year across the board at no small expense to the business, I intend to maintain the momentum as best as I can which is pretty much all I can promise. As long as you guys/gals keep buying I can keep bringing out new goodies for you all.

There will be grav tanks and more infantry for the Eloi, several more infantry sets and vehicles for the Cybershadows, more regiments for the Novan Regulars and the start of infantry sets and vehicles for the Novan convent forces. The Tainted will also get more infantry sets and I have a few more ideas for the Skinners too.

3mm releases will continue for the time being but sales have slowed considerable so I'm not sure how much more I'm likely to invest in that range, for the starship collectors I have a bunch of new vessels on the cards and I may well roll out a small campaign just for those.

Expansions for terrain and scatter items are also on the cards.

Thanks for your suggestions and interest cheers John

I'd steer clear of 6mm death robot infantry. there's a well known company that's got the market for that pretty well locked up that due to the way IP laws work in the Czech republic they're able to operate right out in the open, far closer to the inspiration than what VGM could ever hope to do. Vehicles and giant robotic buildings are fair game however.

Really loving what you've been doing recently with the Cybershadows and knowing a few things you've got percolating, I know 2019 is going to be a kick ass year for you!

Got a link? I’ve been looking for years and never found decent 6mm proxies.

Thanks for the link to the CZ site. A lot of good Necron infantry on page 4. I also see there is a really nice mini pack there for use as Razorwing fighters and void raven bombers (2 of each) on pg 5 of the website.

Looks like Shapeways for the vehicles and aircraft. I found a site that makes Necron spaceships on Shapeways for BFG. They also make Eldar, Ork, Imperial, chaos ships.
