Hey, sorry if this has been asked before - but the Skinnerz set A and B - are they just different poses or are B a later, slightly higher quality sculpt?

I've just ordered some of these so should be able to answer (although someone please feel free to correct me!)

The A pack included just hand weapon and pistol. The B pack contains some of these, but also guys with a rifle/machine gun.

Have just checked my pack - of the 40 orks 20 of them are holding machine gun or a heavy machine gun, the other 20 are I believe the same as the A pack.

As for quality, I can't see any difference between A and B - but they are all excellent! :)

I haven't noticed any real quality difference in the sculpts in terms of detail, but the A sculpts are somewhat flimsier due to their outstretched arms and slim weapon handles. There's a risk of bending or snapping if you are careless. I prefer the B sculpts of the melee skinnerz for that reason. Plus they are easier to fit on the base without getting in eachother's way!

Infantry set A contain all melee weapons but suffered from many broken weapons especially the axes which easily snapped off during transit which resulted in a lot of lost stock. So I decided to get the set redone to rectify the situation, the poses were changed to better support the weapons and so I have very few damaged sprues now also at the time I decided to add a riflemen squad for variety to mix up the stands a bit.

Set A is discontinued at this time although the mould is still available if I change my mind.

Set B is the only skinnerz regular infantry set available.

Hope that clears things up, set A bad, set B good. :)

Hi L4,

Hull length 27mm, hull width 17mm, height 10mm minus turrets approx, there is some variance between the different designs.
