In working on the tweaked values for the PDF I noticed a thing that, in my opinion, should be considered a typo or omission and fixed for Gold. Due to the nature of the Chain of Command rule, the Forward Observer formation should have the Independent special ability, or it just cannot do it's job very well. This would entail few changes, specifically: On page 5, second column, first sentence under "Exceptions to the Chain of Command" currently reads: "Unlike other Imperial forces, recon vehicles and cavalry detachments are independent fighting units that may operate outside the Chain of Command radius." This should be changed to read: "Unlike other Imperial forces, recon vehicles, forward observers, and cavalry detachments are independent fighting units that may operate outside the Chain of Command radius." On page 10, first column, Forward Observer description, the final sentence reads: "They are HQ units and have the Stealth ability." This should be changed to read: "They are HQ units and have the Stealth, Forward Observer, and Independent abilities." On page 32, Forward Observer line entry, the Notes column entry reads: "HQ, Stealth, Special" This should be changed to read: "HQ, Stealth, Forward Observer, Independent" ______________________________________ One other, relatively minor problem with the errata pdf. It seems to have accidentally been named "imperial_guard_with_errata" instead of "astra_militaris_with_errata". This should probably be fixed as this pdf does include two forces, the Guard and the PDF, not just the Guard. |

Another thought about Adeptus Militaris formations that should have Independent. Should Flyers have the ability as well? For the same reasons that Cavalry have it. |

Oh, obviously you'd want to add ", Flyers" to the text on page 5, probably just after "forward observers". Similarly, a note mentioning their Independent status should probably be added to their descriptions, or just after the header for Flyers. Something like: "All Flyers are Independent and ignore all Chain-of-Command restrictions." Obviously, that ability should also be added to the Notes column for all Flyers. |

I said something about Drop Pods? Must not have been recently. As far as I know, the above should be all for the Adeptus Militaris pdf. I have not yet gone through the Squats, so there may be something there, but that is the last one, I think. |
