Death is coming from deep in the Eye of Terror.
After the luke warm success of the chaos forces in breaching the Cadian gate, Angron, Fulgrim, Magnus and Mortarion fully intend to exploit the turmoil the Imperium is in. Reinforcements have arrived, and the assault now begins in earnest, after leaving with a fleet packed to the brim with Chaos Marines, beastmen and hordes of the damned he is slowly approaching the gate. His estimated date of arrivial will be the 24th of December, on the 25th he will personally lead the assault on Lapland. On the 1st of January the results of this new online campaign will be published.
Thankfully the Imperium is not alone in dealing with this threat. A long, long time ago, a several of humanities finest signed a pact with a group of diminuative engineers, they would be placed into cyrogenic storage until the Imperium needed them the most. This engineers were from a race all but forgotton in the mists of time. Now they have emerged from there Lapland fortresses to fortify and rebuild it in time for the assault. There cargo has been unfrozen and the Imperium is now ready for battle, for to fail will mean the galaxy being split into four hell's each ruled over by a vindicive hate filled primarch desperate for revenge and his own sense of justice.
Setting up a signal beacon that broadcast all the way back to there homeworlds, life begins to stir.... the area was thought to have been annihilated by the ravening forces of the Tyranids, but this was not so, the inhabitants just buried deep, deep into the rock and have hidden for centuries nestled in a community close to the centre of there planets.
Now the Squats are back, and just in time to save Christmas...
