Yes, just checked the SM1 painting guide in the back of the rule book - Night Lords = Dark Blue ... OOoooo, scary ...

Why because of the machine spirits, of course! What did you expect?? 
But actually, I was wrong. They first take the communications centers, then transmit the images of what they have done to the personnel, then destroy the power grid and finally plunge the planet to darkness by detonating enough nukes to cause a nuclear winter. Then they simply kill everybody! Ain't they nice?

I always though GW tried to avoid using Weapons of Mass destruction. They would kinda ruin games rather fast. Say a deathstrike with a nuclear warhead comes along, blows a big hole in the board and then everyone dies!

I dunno, on Kreig they had a 500 year long nuclear war.... kinda hard to imagine that...you would think everyone would be dead by the end of the first year.

They don't use the nukes against the population. They detonate them in uninhabited places to plunge the planet into darkness and then kill the inhabitants up close and personal.
