I was browsing the DRM range today and again noted the really nice little buggies and tried to work out a use for them.  I wondered if you could add Technicals to either the Frateris or PDF lists (or both?).  One looks like a dead ringer for a Small 4x4 with a Heavy Bolter, and the other could possibly be an AAMG.  Something like:

Technical 30cm 0 -1  Heavy Bolter 50cm 2 5+ 0

(150 for 5)

Technical AA  30cm 0 -1 Heavy Stubber 75cm 1 5 0   AA

(150 for 5)

PDF don't really need them I suppose but the Frateris list could use some help :)

I don't see any real reason why not. Yeah, bung 'em in...

...can we call them something different than "Technicals" though. It sounds like lego... Recon Buggy?.. Pathfinders?.. Rangers?..

I thought Technical was the correct military term for a civilian vehicle with a whopping great HMG glued to the back  :)

it is the correct term a pickup with a big gun in the bag also call'd in its "not political correct" name a skiny bus/mover do to its first use in Ethiopia/Somalia in the late 70's later it was used by the modjahedines in afghanistan against the russians and later each other normale its a toyota himarch or landrover (the real inveters of it is actually te british special services who used a land rover M2 combination back in the 50's but as a popular weapon platform the other story is true)

Yeah... so what?.. my best friend, who I just made up calls his pickup Doris but I don't see the Imperial Guard being like him either. So there are Somalian Pickup Truck gun toting Imperial Guard now... and you say my ideas are weird. Have you guys been drinking decafe or something?..

Yes, Technical as I recall from "Blackhawk Down" refers to the jury rigged pickups with heavy weapons. Still a silly name. Don't make me say it... oh, I can't resist... apology in advance... don't get technical with me... argh... that one actually hurt to say. ???
