I could have sworn that I saw stats for the Psy Titan somewhere. I've searched high and low to no avail. Incoming! 24 (I think) has an article about the Divisio Telepathica and describes the Psy Titan, but no stats are given. Have any stats been formulated for this wonder of arcane Imperial technology?

MOjarn did indeed write some stats for the Psy Titan but I don't think it was ever officially incorporated into the Adeptus Mechanicus army book. I also made some highly dubious stats found on my site.

I'd like to have a Psi-Titan so I needed to worry about the lack of stats :(

I don't have one, but I'd still like to have stats for it.

Hi!

Until Mojarn shows up and enlightens us, lets put out some proposals...

Psy-titan

Special rules. Close combat attacks from a psy-titan are psychic in nature and cannot be saved against with the use of chaos cards.

Head: Psychic dampeners. If void shields intact the psy-save versus non-physical psy attacks is 2+ (instead of the normal 4+). If no active void shields the psy-titan gets a 4+ save.

A damaged head loses the weapon benefits and dampener benefit.

Head weapons: Psy-blasters - range 50cm, 2 attack dice, hits on 4+, -2 save modifiers. Non-physical psi attack saves allowed. Demons must pay TWO cards per damage point inflicted by this weapon to avoid destruction.

Psychic resonator dome and cannon.

This weapon takes the place of BOTH carapace weapons. Any one damage to a carapace weapon damage location affects the psychic dome as a whole.

Psychic resonator - no psychic power or chaos card can be cast/used within 25 cm of the titan with an active resonator. Minor demon and chaos marine powers can not work in this field. Farseers, high slann/time mages and greater demons need to roll a 4+ to use any power within the field.

Benefits are lost if damaged.

Psychic cannon - range 75cm, 1 attack dice, hits 3+ save modifier -4. Non-physical psychic damage, psy saves allowed. The power of this weapon is such that demon CANNOT use chaos cards to save themselves.

Thoughts?

Looks pretty good...not overpowered, not a total dud.  Say 650 points + the cost of the two additional arm weapons?  Special card for AMTL only I'd guess.

Hi!

650, is a good price point. Plus the cost of arm weapons.

I didn't think whether it should be a special card or not, but given its uniqueness, I think you're right and it should be a special card.

I like those stats a lot and the price seems reasonable. Special card sounds right. However, I'm not sure if it should be restricted to AMTL. I could see it being a Special card for Marines also. The Divisio Telepathica is a separate division from AMTL.

Hi!

I was pondering to open its use as a special card for any Imperial faction (SM, IG, etc), but limited to fighting against chaos.

I also thought that may be too restrictive.

Thoughts?

I have a general dislike for "only against X" rules for a couple of reasons.  Making it a special for AMTL and SoB only works better for me than restricting who you could use it against.  Of course, all a purely academic discussion for me :D

Well, I never actually made complete stats for the titan as I wasn't able to write any stats for the head psycannons that would have satisfied me. The PSI titan has been a kind of "eternity project" for me.

In fact, what I did write is almost exactly the same as your stats, although I didn't have the psychic resonator (which is a clever addition).

My version of the warp cannon was completely different, however.

Warp Cannon:
range: 100cm
attack dice: template
to-hit: 4+
special rules: Place the teardrop (flame) template anywhere within range and firing arc so that the narrow end points directly towards the PSI titan. Any troops (friend or foe) even partially under the template are hit by the psychic shockwave on 4+ regardless of cover and must save with a -1 save modifier. Titans and praetorians without shields use the saving throw of the head/bridge and roll on the corresponding damage table if the save is failed; no scatter dice are used. Daemons and chaos titans under the template suffer a -2 modifier to their saving throw and daemons may not use chaos cards to negfate hits. The warp cannon has no effect on buildings or fortifications even though it affects the troops inside. Due to the difficulty of modulating the precise energy levels required by the warp coil the cannon may only be fired on first fire orders.

IIRC I even sent these stats to you a couple of  years ago.

I thought it would use the Warlord hit location template with one addition: one more hit location between the carapace weapon locations. All three would be Warp Cannon hit locations. Save: 2+

Damage table for the Warp Cannon I've not even contemplated. Any takers?
