Just found this - think it's pretty darn close to Epic, or someone will make mods for it...
But basically it means I can play Epic online with people all around the world - when I can't get/be bothered/too busy to play with my figs
I'm so excited.
Think the company is Membrane Studios, a mate sent me an email with this link and I creamed myself (not literally, but you know what I mean...)

They did an Indiegogo Campain a few months back. It's not Epic, it's actually based of the rules for Exodus Wars' new game that should be released somewhat soon. The similarities do seem remarkable though, which makes me happy.

Myself and a few others on these boards are playtesters for this. The game is developed by a member here, based on the IP of a mini range, from a member here.

A quick discussion about my thoughts - I really, really like this game. It is shaping up to be something that I have wanted for a long time, but no-one has put out - a turn based, strategic wargame, putting the tabletop on the desktop. Its still in pre-alpha stages, but the gameplay is very intuitive and you are only presented with what you can actually do at that point. For example, click on a unit to select it and you get a series of circles, centred on the unit at different ranges. clicking on the map gives a move, and what circle your destination is inside gives the order for that unit. Then, click on a target to engage and click confirm. An entire formation directed in four clicks.

We will be hosting annoucements when things are in further developed stages, and having progress reports if I can convince Gr00ver to put something up.
