Yeah, regarding the height of the vehicles, I think they suffer a bit because the infantry are on 1mm thick bases, making them inherently a bit taller than normal. Combine that with the fact that the punks and such are on the beefy side of 6mm and it exacerbates it even more.

The vehicle sculptor actually did make all of the vehicles to spec according to the art. I think it is a matter of us being used to beefier models in epic and what not. Like, a Ford Mustang in 6mm would be about 16mm long , the hot rod above from headlight to turbo engine is about 18mm long, so they are actually spot on with the sizes of non-military vehicles in the real world. Same goes for the teeny post-apoc smart car. An actual 2-person smart car in 6mm would be 8.3mm long, the tiny smart car from hell above is about 10mm long. As a last example, the ninja bikes. They look tiny as hell at 7mm long...but a real Kawasaki Ninja is 2015mm long, which in 6mm would be 6.71mm.

All of the above being said, I do agree, beefier vehicles are more pleasing to the eye. In the future, all vehicle dimensions will be increased to make them suitably pleasing to the eye, just not so big as to be ridiculous, because most of them are still going to be based off of cars.

Dedicated large war rigs will be in wave 2, as will a mega-battle bus, if the artist is of like mind. We'll call this one a light war rig :)

Yeah go walk up to your car. The average fully grown male of European descent will tower over it.
Also to be fair, people think armoured vehicles as being "big" when in fact they're shockingly small when placed say next to an F15 for instance, especially when you cram 3-4 guys in there.

All the cars look good to me, the right scale even next to that huge punk. It's only the rig that I think is too small. That one looks a bit odd alongside all the other figures. It still does look pretty awesome, and I'd guess it wouldn't be too noticeable (maybe?) on the table top.

Well, i guess basing ones vehicles will set things straight again.
Everything should be based anyway for style reasons, hehe

These are looking absolutely awesome. Bang goes a whole load of my life in 2016. Starting to imagine armies and scenery already. No reason why these can't be mixed in with my other microworld HOTT collection.

Something I forgot to say yesterday. In my own opinion, it would be great if you created a flyer, like the little gyrocopter in mad max 2. I write with HOTT in mind. If you don't, it would be simple enough to get rotor blades and add them to one of the bikes; or how about simply offering rotor blades, that can be added to the top of a bike, if desired?

I'd like to add my voice to the "Only the Big Rig needs to be bigger" crowd.

It was also be nice to see more cobbled together ranged weaponry for the muties. The guy on the horse with the auto-pistol thing has a lovely weapon, and a medium and large version of that (and even others?) would be great interspersed on the mounted and walking muties.

I really love the vehicles and the muties. I really look forward to recreating some vehicles from the old Mad Max movies I used to love.

So when can I send you a few hundred $$ and get a large box full of these? Are you still looking at a late fall release?

I could see the mutie faction getting fleshed out in future waves. Suitably large big rigs will be in wave 2. Current "light" rig will be in wave 1, because it is sculpted already. The sculpts will be with the moldmaker as of this Friday, so not too long now!

It is dependent on his schedule though, let's say 6 weeks maybe?

Wow, sooner than I expected! Does that mean the Ogres are done? (I'll ask this in the Ogre thread too...!)
