These look promising, I really need to make sure I can have room on my desk as I have a soft spot for anthropomorphic armies and just got another batch of lizardmen over the holidays from the wife that I will need to finish up first. The Wildland Alliance are coming up and the rats will end up as my third army.

I'm looking forward to these! The concepts look great!!! Image

If I'm not remembering this wrong, then you don't sculpt your minis yourself but hire a sculptor right? Have you considered hiring one of the designers around here that do their miniatures with 3D programs?

There's a lot of sharpness about these wererats. I think these might turn out better if made using computer rather than the old fashioned way.

cheers

Ha, I don't sculpt them myself, I'm afraid I am utterly talentless in that regard.

For vehicles and armored troopers I agree about the 3-D printing, but for the tiny organic infantry, I don't know that they are better per se. Maybe cleaner, but not necessarily better detailed. The main problem is the printing drives up the cost and the timelines, and then limits where I can have them mastered.

Although I guess another advantage is being able to resize them for 10mm also for probably not that much cost. I will make some inquiries.

Why? You've got existing Warmaster I presume?

This line is enough to tempt me to pick up 6mm KoW perhaps :)

6mm KoW? That's a great idea. I've already played a bit of 6mm Warpath, and it works fairly well.

6mm Kings of War works great! Use http://kow.easyarmy.com/ to start making your forces.

I've got Microworld's Orc Army Bundle B and Wood Elf Army Bundle, they matched up well with KoW force compositions. Just a few "counts as" something else, such as making the Orc Armoured Behemoth as a Krudger on Chariot and the Elf Hawk Riders as Elf Drakons.

I'm looking at Undead and Dwarves next.

I don't suppose you have any more pics of the ratmen being sculpted. would gladly pre order. It's a race between them being released and my eyesight going to the extent I can't paint them lol!
