As the title states, the Strike Legion Tactical Rules Compendium is now available - more information here:

Taking a few days off, but then it'll be time to update the old army lists to the new standards - and maybe add a few new ones (coughOnslaughtcoughMicroworldcough). :)

As of today, hardcover and softcover versions of the book are available through the WGV POD service (same link as above); distributor orders will be going out later this week/early next week. :)

I may have to get this, as a rulebook junkie!

Seriously though, it looks interesting, and I like that all the (or most of) the current 6mm lines are represented.
(onslaught miniatures..cough cough..)

Has anyone written a review, anyone play the game, any thoughts?

Thanks! I apologize for the lack of converted army lists for the updated version of the rules - seems like every time I free up time to work on them, something more urgent crops up.

Until I can dedicate some serious time to finishing these, there are some simple parameters players can use for the old data cards to make them compatible with the new version of the rules:

Usage numbers:
Smoke Mortars 1 and 2 become Smoke Mortars/6 and /5+, respectively
Chaff Pods and Countermeasures 1/2/3 become 6/5+/4+, respectively
Smoke Grenades become Smoke Grenades/6

Depletion Numbers - Missiles
Number of Missiles Depletion Number
1 D11
2 D9
3 D8
4 D7
5 D7 (ample ammo)
6 D6
7 D5
8 D4
9 D3
10 D2
More than 10 D2 (ample ammo)

Depending on how things go in the next couple of weeks (I may soon be starting a full-time job working for someone else for the first time in about 15 years), I may or may not be able to re-start the conversion process, and maybe get to some new (OnslaughtcoughTroublemarkercoughetc) lists and data cards. :)

I actually prefer the old method of tracking ammo and other limited items on tick boxes. Depletion/Usage rolls feel too abstract and unnecessary to me.
