Hi!

I am in so deep with my epic projects that this would just be an echo in a deep, deep cave.

This game deserves my full attention, but that means it has to wait a while. :(

I finished a squad of Doughboys...

Only two more Squads or Doughboys to finish and a unit of Machine Gunners for the Americans and I will have enough points to take on a Scout Tripod. Oh dear! This could take a bit. Maybe I shouldn't have gone so infantry/artillery heavy?

I am all out of basing materials so the Martian and American bases still look a bit plain. These took a bit longer than I expected to paint, as I have never really done 15mm before. I thought they would go much faster, but they didn't. Plus, I think the green came out way too dark. Oh well.

Excelsior!

I undercoated all of my American Infantry for All Quiet on the Martian Front. Not much to look at there so I didn''t bother with a picture. Now they all look green. :)

If you want a sweet Blog about All Quiet on the Martian Front, check out this one:

It has been inspiring to me, and makes me want to get all my stuff done and on the table!

Hi!

The battle described in the blog was awesome!

I so like this game. But I must resist. For now. ;)

It took a while thanks to real-life and the fact that there were a lot of 15mm infantry to paint, but I have got them painted. The basing still needs to be done, but.....

and a closer look at them.

Now that those are done, I can move onto the Steam Tanks! They will be much easier to paint. :)

I got a chance to put together my Steam Tanks from the starter set and my command tank. These kits went together really easily, just like the Plastic tripods. They practically snapped together without any glue.

We have three MarkII Steam Tanks. However, I used the wrong 4 LB gun. I guess these are more modern versions. :) I really love the design of the MarkII, it was ont of the things that made me want to play AQMF. Then, the ones with three cannons are the MarkIII tanks. I have 3 of those too. Obviously, the last one is the markIIc Command Tank.

I got my MKII Steam Tanks painted up.

This took way too long for that type of result. I need to find a way to do it faster. I think an Airbrush would really help on these guys.

I have undercoated the Command Tank MKIIc and the 3 MKIII Steamers as well. After those are done, I have a unit of Rough Riders and a unit of Field Guns to go, and I will have two forces fully painted and ready to play. I have toyed with the idea of getting another Starter Box to bulk out my forces, but I kind of want to get some of the cool specialist units. Decisions, decisions.
