"Hey guys,

I'd like to get involved in the Grey Knights list, hopefully pushing it off the experimental status.

One of the first things to tackle, from my point of view, is the transport option for inquisition troops. At the moment, there is an option for Chimeras or landing party.

Would it make more sense bringing it down to one?"

Ok this is perhaps threadomancy, but the thread is very aptly named for my question and it was on the first page anyway.

Anyways I recently got the chance to acquire some grey knight stuff and I think they're some rather nice chaps. I tried to look around a bit and found the current state of inquisition development/this sub forum rather confusing (i.e. a lot of posted lists).

Is there any ordo maellus/grey knights list that's being developed as a netEA ("official") list? I saw that there's no list in the compendium. Are you still the AC Dwarf Supreme? The only list I saw that was put up by you is the ordo Xenos. Do you have any plans for an ordo Maellus list?

Yup, I'm still the Inquisition AC. I don't know of a Grey Knights list in development and I have no plans on doing one.

DS that's because it was originally in the Space Marine lists but I was told it should go into the Inquisition listings.
Here's the link.

There have been two versions of the Grey Knights haven't there? Lord Inquisitor had an old inquisition plus grey knights list and someone else (was it Fattdex?) did a list more focused in the grey knights themselves in the way their newer 40k codex was. There's a copy of the latter with a very nice fan art of a Warlord titan on the front if I remember correctly, not sure how current it is. I'd suggest taking a look at both and going for whichever style list you prefer, both are probably valid if a bit low on testing.

Yep - Fattdex's one is here - viewtopic.php?f=73&t=20488

Just a note to say that Fattdex is no longer running the list so anyone interested could pick it up if DS was OK with it.

Yeah, I'm okay with it.

I would rather see an Ordo Malleus list than a Grey Knights list. I am a fan of the old fluff, not the new "fight as a chapter" take on them.

I'm more interested in an Ordo Malleus / Grey Knights list than pure GKs too. Both seem viable to coexist potentially though.

I agree with the Ordos Malleus list idea. A purely GK army list would be completely at odds with the background/fluff. They are only one chapter, being spread throughout the Imperium as they are, only a small number would ever be in one place at one time. There were only 100 Grey Knights to face the threat of Angron and his retinue of Bloodthirsters on Armageddon. I think building the list in the style of the Ordos Xenos list would work just fine.

Same goes for me.

It's for these reasons that I am against a purely Grey Knights list. All the fluff I've read doesn't support it.
