Zombocom,

I played against the Sisters of Battle last night with my Eldar. The game went to me 2-1, but just barely. Had I not squeaked out the BTS goal, it would have gone to turn 4 and that would have certainly spelled disaster. It was a fun game though.

I do have a question about the Lightning Fighters, however. I know we were trying to unify the Lightning stats but the interceptors on your list have two AT shots each while the Elysians only have one. Is this an oversight or did I miss something or what?

Thanks.

Sisters should use the new Avenger Strike Fighter as their aircraft instead of the lightning. Every 6th Ed 40k army gets at least one flyer these days and though they haven't made an aircraft actually crewed by Sisters, they now have one that is their holy favourite, that they typically associate with.

"The Avenger is an ancient design, believed to originate on Ancient Terra sometime during the Age of Strife. It was adopted by forces loyal to the Divine Saint Sebastian Thor during the bloody wars of faith and schism now called the Age of Apostasy. Its effectiveness is such that it is now a staple of any Imperial Navy air support mission, holding a glamour of holy import in the wider Imperium. The Avenger is often specifically requested by the Adeptus Sororitas should they require close support in their purgations"

I agree, actually. This would perhaps also allow us to see about shifting the lightning stats back to what the Elysians and Harakoni were looking for, since the sisters have their own craft now.

Got it a bit wrong. Having read the entry in the Aeronautica book the Avenger is specifically a ground-attack aircraft. It'd be good to have in place of a bomber in the sisters list, but it's not an interceptor.

Currently the Sisters have both Lightning variants, the ground strike and the interceptor. I don't begrudge them the need for a more useful aircraft, but I do have an issue with the unit being different from one list to another. It would be like Warhounds with identical names having different stats on different lists. I recall that we hammered this out some time ago, so it was strange to see it changed after all that.

EDIT -

Embarrassingly, I went back to the old posts and it seems I am in the wrong...

Lightning "Attack"
Armour --
Wingtip Lascannons: 30cm AT5+/AA5+ FxF
Long-Barrel Autocannon: 45cm AP5+/AT6+/AA5+ FxF

Lightning "Strike"
Armour --
Wingtip Lascannons: 30cm AT5+/AA5+ FxF
2x Underwing Rockets: 30cm AT4+ FxF

I must have never updated the list for the Elysians... :gah
