I think a "chapter master" should only appear when the whole chapter is fielded, like in a epic game, not crumy little "skirmishes" as in 40k.

Well, there may be different philosophies out there, but you and I agree 100%. I left the GW fold and sold off all my 40k because of many reasons, but I went to Dirtside because I wanted a game where the troops and tanks made the differance not a guy with a power glove and inhuman attributes.
That is also what has pulled me back into the GW fold. This new EpicA seems like it is trying to give a more combined arms feel to the 40k era combat.

As I have said before, if I was not playing Epic, I'd be playing Dirtside or some machination of it! ?
