I'm running a new crowdfunder for plastic scenery.

I've already tested the tooling house with a prototype mould- turnaround time was 3 weeks, so we can be confident there won't be any long delays.

The prototyping mould wasn't especially cheap, so I'm hoping there will be a strong response, as I don't see any profit unless a decent number of stretch goals get reached.

Looks great! I'll be in for some, good luck with the funding. Any info on pledge levels yet?

For the initial "Mixed Theme" sprue, most probably:

£20 - hamlet: 40 panels
£35 - village: 80 panels
£65 - town: 160 panels
£120 - city: 320 panels

The same bands will also be available for the first two stretch goals, the Gothic and Cyberhive theme sprues.

I'm hoping this will make full-on "hive" style tables an affordable prospect for people.

Also a £5 pledge for 8 panels as a sampler.

It looks like the wooden cubes I used to play with when I was a kid.
There is nothing to break the omnipresent cubic shape.
May be you could design a sprue with half height tiles ?

Double height might be easier than halves, given the way the injection ports are set up.

Sounds good to me. Glad to see the rose window version in there! :-) Guessing this is a stretch goal, so keeping fingers crossed!

Personally i will probably use them more as parts to scratch build with but i get that the simple clip together system will be attractive to many. I still think the easiest way to avoid the cube look will be some add-on parapets for the roofs (which could be metal maybe?)

So if we buy one of the larger perks (like the £120 one say) will all the tiles be of the same theme, or do we get to pick and mix (say half gothic then half cyber)

Will they become a Vanguard staple once the kickstarter is over, or is troublemaker back doing its own thing?

I intend to tackle the cube problem by adding my own plasticard roofing, and buttresses (heehee). Plus that will save more tiles, which will let me do even more insane buildings. I also have a ton of the GW buildings which with a little chopping and cursing should add a little variety to the shape of the buildings. I see these cubs as the start of something great, rather than the end all to terrain.

I did mention back when Ben first previewed this idea, that perhaps it would be cool to get some gothic-y spires/triangular shapes on the go, and he said it would more than likely have to be a resin add on (or something to that effect! He will probably remember exactly what he said!) If they are not possible, I dont think it would be to hard to knock a few shapes up out of plasticard or foamboard, just to break the cube shapes up a bit.

Jimmy- if you really feel like you dont need any more terrain, you should still grab a small sample pack, just to try them out. The £120 'sample' pack should be just what you need! :D

It wasn't going to be proper "Gothic" without a rose window. :)

It arrives in the 2nd stretch goal.

I'm planning on doing metal or resin parapets, yes.

The way the system works, it would want me to send just whatever set type was ordered. I might be able to do some post-campaign Q&A.

Personally, I think you should pledge for 3x of each of the "city" sized sets. :)

John has agreed to stock them once they're available.

I'd like to be able to do spires, parapets, buttresses etc. We'll see how much backing we get...
