As much as I dislike many of the new 40K models, the Adeptus Mechanicus "Onager Dunecrawler" tank just kind of caught my eye, so I figured I'd give it a shot in 6mm. Sadly, Shapeways is still struggling to fix the issues with the shopkeeper settings, but this thing will eventually be for sale! Eventually.

Sweet :) Might I ask what programs people mostly use to sculpt in 3D?
Blender, sketchup, TinkerCad, AutoCad or something else?

From a purely practical point of view it might be worth placing a post under the centre of the main chassis to take some structural load off the legs. If someone doesn't like the post then it'll be super easy to file off but otherwise would make it 100% less fragile on the board.

Just my 2¢.

That's an excellent point! I'll make it so.

Edit: how does this look?

I really like this.

I was planning too start a new project and up scale my skaven epic force to 40k scale, and was looking at using the large version of this for the base of one model. This would make an excellent way to also make a de-bigged version for my epic skaven too.

Like the bees knees, and a handy snap off point for the sprue. Doubly practical.

just for curiosity, could you do a screenshot with the legs enlarged? e.g. 125% or more

You mean the whole model with the legs upsized? Sure! How's this?

Thank you! I like it better with bigger legs.

Cool as always.
