Neat painting! More please. as posted elsewhere, maybe 2016 will be the year of painted proxy armies.

Thanks for the comments!

Here's the rest of the crowdfunder stuff I've managed to paint so far - my first EA army. The models are great and with lots of detail which has been fairly easy to bring out with the painting. It's just a shame the range isn't complete - I need some Predator proxies which tie in with this line (hint, hint!):

I have never seen Epic Mantis Warriors before, and these ones are exceptional! Well done!

Excellent work they look fabulous.

I'm looking to put a gallery up on my site and would love to put these up on it.

They look stunning mate! I really like the Razorback proxies, and not just because they're Razorback proxies ;)

I appreciate the comments - always good to have some encouragement! Can't wait to play with this army once I've painted a few more.

moredakka, that'd be brilliant, more than happy to be in a gallery. I've got some pics of other units too I can send through if required. Just let me know what size images you need (these are smaller, lower quality versions of the originals) and I'll send them through, cheers!

Ben

Seeing these painted up so beautifully, they really do take on a whole different life to the previous image I had of them.

They're really nice chunky miniatures - big for 6mm I think, although they're the first 6mm sci-fi I've had. I've got some GHQ 6mm WWII stuff which seems pretty dainty and delicate in comparison to these models. Definitely fits the Space Marines/Novan Elites tough character!

Wow, excellent figures and painting.

I have considered doing the mantis warriors a few times over the years, care to share which green you used?

Keep up the good work,
Steve

I used Vallejo paints, but it wasn't an exact colour. They were base coated with an airbrush using 'IDF Green' (Model Air) then painted with a mix of layers, but most were based around 'Intermediate Green' (Model Colour) mixed so that it was a touch lighter, which was the best colour match I could find. The individual marines have got 'Lime green' on them as they looked a bit dull with the standard green, so don't quite match the vehicles (although I added a little lime green in places on the vehicles just to add some glow and a bit of brightness to them, doesn't show that well in the photos though).
Hope that helps - thanks for the comments!
