OK, so I have a question here. Some of those titans are refered to as "between 40 and 80 feet tall." or "Emperor Titans are taller - some 70 to 100 feet tall".

Now that is huge, but the thing is that the average person is just under 6 feet, and the average person in 6mm is just under 6mm. So I was thinking that the titans would just straight convert feet into mm. That would give titans that are between 4 and 8 cm, or 7 and 10cm. That isn't actually that big, and is definitely smaller than :

According to Adeptus Titanicus:

So this would imply the following measurements:

Warhound - ??
Reaver - 12.2m
Warlord - 24.3m
I. Titan - 30.5m

I know, just got back from hiatus and already pot-stirring :spin

MM

I can only assume that this is in reference to the 28mm scale.

I read through this before, and was amazed at the size differences, but this quote really seems to be very close to the actual size of the minis so now I'm confused. Any help?

Hi!

I am of two minds with "true scale".

While they look imposing, I find myself wondering more about the practical aspects of storage and larger models become more of a hassle.

Also, given the disparate nature of the sizes in the background, i am beginning to think that the original sizes are not too far off anyway. Granted these are titans, I do think other models from the epic line are a little small, like praetorians (CI, leviathan, etc).

IMO ... A true scale Titan even in Epic for the larger ones may be too big. But without a doubt I think a 40K scale Titan is like most of GW/FW models ... waaaay over the top and a bit silly. To game with anything that big on the table. You'd probably need to game in your backyard !!!! :o

The numbers I put there were swags based on the 1.2 or 1.7 "factor" and then going straight from ft->m.

As someone said above, I think that most or the models are in good proportion, but SHTs, Praetorians and transports are off by 30% or more.

I paint and collect regardless, just more of a mental exercise for me.
