+1

Although I'd be tempted to broaden the plow so that's it's width equals the front of the hull AND the tracks.
Would look proper menacing then...

Hmm, maybe give them a layer of ink or something, it's very hard, if not impossible, to make out the details.

Yes, i have problems with getting good shots on thoose white prints. I can give it another try when it is primed, that should hopefully bring out some details. Unfortually the printer don't support as much details as I wish, none of the bolts, I put on the plate was printed.

I was aiming at the look of a battleship on land.

The 3d-printed Chimera with some paint on compared to a regular one.

Got some time to design and print an ork naval landing craft.

Now I just have to come up with a scenario where to use them :)

About 4 cm bow to stern. Think it will have a carry capacity of 4 units of infantry, or 2 units of bikes or buggies, or one tank.

Hi!

Interesting model. :)

I'm liking how 3d stuff is improving.

They are almost the same size about 25mm long and 20mm wide. The original is however only about 6mm tall while the printed is about 10mm tall.

Finally painted up the cruiser.

Since it is more fun to print than to paint I have also printed some buddies for the poor cruiser.

Another cruiser

Hi!

I can only imagine what will be possible in another few years. The detail is getting better and better.

Yes, the resolution still leaves some to wish for. But I guess a few years more and there will be affordable resin printers that do a really good job.

Hi!

I've been following 3d printing for many years. There are printers that can achieve very high level of detail, but the price tag is still unmanageable.

However the prices are going down rapidly and the resolution for those home 3d printers is getting better and better. My guess is that in another 5 years there will be superior 3d printers for home use for under 1k dollars, or maybe even less than that.

I look forward to that day eagerly. :)
