one of my other sidelines :)

This particular game is meant to be playable by blind people, so the texture is very important. Detail is much much less then minis though :)

approx 60 pieces per game of 7 different types. The current prototype pieces are milliput blobs sculpted onto the face of pennies. A little peg was glued onto the underside to keep the piece in place on the board. Pieces could potentially be cast in an open mould if you have a clever way of doing the peg. Spin casting might be overkill :)

Does this float anyone's boat?

Could you tell me a bit more about this. Sounds interesting, I might be interested in this. :)

The game is called Troglobites:

Each player is a farmer in a deep, dark dungeon. You spend your days picking through the great trash heap at the center of the cave, digging up tasty mushrooms and planting them in your own garden. Each mushroom is worth points, and the player with the highest scoring garden wins.

For most players, I suggest playing the game through once or twice to become familiar with the rules. For advanced play everyone is blindfolded. I'm also going to do my best to make the game blind accessible, possibly with an audio cd rulebook, possibly with a embosser compatible pdf file.

Components: the 4 gardens and all of the fungi/pest tiles: (it might be down the bottom. something funky happening with the editor at my end)

The four fungi tiles: note the green one can be stacked on itself.

The pegs were an experiment since you need to be able to run your fingers over your garden without disturbing anything. People have really liked them though, since it's like picking mushrooms.

Are you looking for someone to sculpt the pieces or cast the pieces for you?

Primarily casting. The pictures are very much v1 prototype, but I'd be aiming for a run of at least 750 sets, so reliability of output becomes important.

750 sets x60 pieces, what will you be selling these games for? And how much do you want to pay per set for casting?

I wouldn't be much help but I do think it is a good idea and a noble endeavor.
