Hi all, I wanted to share some space ships I'm in the process of having concepts done for as well as 3d modeling done. This should be available very soon within a month or two. I have been working on a space ship game of my own devising with it's own back story and factions. There are three major factions right now, two human the Earth Alliance high tech fighter support and advanced shields. The other human faction is the Free Worlds Republic, they are located on the fringe and have older ships, they can't sustain high tech like the EA so they depend on good old armor plates for their defense. They press into service old freighters with armor and weapons to defend their territory. The last faction is the Slyth, a reptilian race that attacks for the love of war and aggression, they enslave and steal and use any tech that will be beneficial to them. Many a species is already enslaved or long extinct from Slyth attacks. Their ships use a high tech base, with deflector shields, this gives the shields a chance to stay up when they absorb damage. The Slyth ships are rather fragile once their shields are down.

This is an almost completed 3d image of an EA destroyer(type yet to be determined). I may be removing the small rows of turrets, undecided of that yet though.

C&C welcome, including idea's for ships or changes mayhaps.

Thanks,
Blind-

The reaver class cruiser will be around 8-8.5cm in length. The fighter craft will be ordnance size, around 8mm long maybe a little shorter. The destroyer will come in at the same length as a cobra destroyer 30mm.

If done at a suitable size these would make nice Epic proxies too...

Upsizing the fighter craft to epic scale would be sweet. I bet there would be some pointy eared players who would be interested.

I agree. If that's going to be a CAD job it's not too difficult to biggerize

I'm just not sure if the $300 i have to throw down to get it so i can cast it, ill generate enough money back to pay for the process as well as my time. I'll have to think on biggerizing the fighter...

Maybe cut a deal with a forumite to license the design to them? They cover the cost to cast and handle the overhead of sales, and you take a license fee, retaining ownership of the IP. If you do it as a monthly/yearly cost you wouldn't even need to have to track their sales. Depends on whether you're trying to make your money back or actually make it a business.

I can actually do casting at my house in resin, i have my own equipment. If there's enough interest in the item to be made in epic scale I have no problem moving forward with it.

Well I feel I can speak for the forum here when I say, "if you make it, they will come".

And I suspect variations of that style with other weapons or transport capability would also tempt other pointy eared players.
