On my other tank the optics part is on the right side, I'll stick to that side then, keeping it consistent.

Update time!

Wanted to do a quick shot of what I've already got. Note that a few of these turrets are still WIP:

I like the idea of a quad autocannon, and from my background interpretation for the Novan IVR, this weapon was decommissioned from that vehicle because it wasn't that efficient for such a tank. However, on this hull the weapon might work, maybe it a mobile platform to take out light vehicles and heavy infantry:

Also started working on the quad-multiple laser cannon, keep in mind that this isn't the laser destroyer weapon, which will be yet different (and in two variants: one - two):

And then there's the quad heavy machine gun, because heavy machine guns are just cool!

After that the demolition cannon and quad mortars are up. Another option I'm considering is a large type of gravitational projector weapon...

You need to bring the vision slit up and you can add a tow hitch below it for some extra added detail. Small lights above the gun and vision slit sitting on that ledge would look pretty cool. Grenade launchers in the usual spot ontop of the tracks. You can get rid of the rounded rail of the ladder and make it square as if it was inbedded in the side of the armored side skirt. Get me a rear shot of that beast also.

How about this?

Won't be adding them here due to potential casting problems. Plan is to have a separate 'upgrade sprue' filled with all sorts of tiny little bits like smoke launchers, luggage, search lights, pintle mounted guns, missile launchers, extra armour, etc.

Not so sure about the squares, went for something more rounded off:

The rear still needs a lot of work:

Slit is still too low. Unless the driver is laying in their belly, reclining complete it's off.

Those lamps/lights are perfect!

I'm not sure if that's the case though. I've put a 6mm human next to the tank.

Is that a true scale human? Most 6mm i'm used to looking at are epic scale, that tank is pretty huge if it's supposed to be true scale, i was seeing in my minds eye a tank a little beefier then a stug3. This puts the Konigs tiger to shame in size.

It looks fricken menacing from the front though, i really like this design.

The human is a true scale 6mm (from bottom of feet to top of head) human. Keep in mind that in Epic the models are closer to 7mm and have bulkier proportions. Also keep in mind that most vehicles in Epic are too small compared to the infantry models. The Imperator Titan for example could probably best be based on the 40k scaled Knight than its normal model.

Also keep in mind that I'm keeping this model in scale with the Novan IVR, which I've resized at MoreDakka's request.

Also it's worth saying that a SM's would dwarf an ordinary human.

Can't use the imperator as an example that thing is way under scaled on purpose lol.

Ok, then look at the original plastic rhino models. ;)

Yes scales are loose and features are accentuated to draw attention to them. I may counter though that true ratios and proportionality don't always equate to the eye seeing them as such. Now it does help to give scale to the abstract model by putting a a figure with plinth next to it. However you're forgetting to add the additional thickness of the base the figure will slot into. In average that should double, in rough estimates, the plinth thickness. Double it and.see if it still "feels" right.

Now shape-wise, I personally think the slit should not be directly on the chassis (even if that's "realistic") and should be part of an extruded shape. It's simply an aspect of providing interesting shapes for the eye (and paintbrush too) to pick up. :)

Went back at the 'nostalgia sprue', I think it has become the 'oddities sprue', meaning it'll include turrets that could used to create proxies for the Chimerax (quad autocannons), Chimedon (light battle cannon), Chimerro (missile launchers), APDS-6a 'Defenders' (laser destroyer, which I made as a quad lascannon), and the Samaritan (medical transport).

Let me introduce the latter two variants:

The Defender was produced as a stop gap design to hunt down enemy armour. Later on this weapon was placed on the Siege Tank hull which could handle the weapon better. I'm not that happy about the design of the weapon yet. In one hand the Laser Destroyer kinda feels like a quad lascannon, but I think I prefer the Imperial Guard version better, it also sets it more apart from the quad autocannon. So I guess it'll be tweaked fundamentally in the coming days.

The medical transport was just something I felt was a nice touch, perhaps the tank could be an objective or something.

So yeah, the sprue will contain the three nostalgia turrets (which had official rules), with the two other variants added as a bonus.
