Thanks!

In the meantime I've been chatting a bit with Moredakka about the siege tanks. Decided to base the new version on a variant of the IVR. Whilst it is still very possible to put the heavy laser cannon in there. It'll be a bit trickier to come up with something for the bunker buster cannon. I'll figure something out though...

That looks cool from the side, I don't think you should have it not in the hull though. Bunker buster is like a vindicator?

Thanks for the kind words.

I've been tweaking the design a bit:

@Blindhorizon: You're right, the bunker buster cannon does seem a bit off at this location. I will probably build a bit of component around it so it will be placed more at the front. So basically the kit will include the tank hull, the heavy laser cannon, and the bunker buster (which also includes a piece of hull).

Could we have the bunker buster look as if it can elevate and depress a little.

That is the plan, I'm almost tempted to do something similar for the heavy laser cannon since it could then also be used as a Leviathan hunter...

By the way, what are your thought on the turret emplacements and tower blocks? To me they are as good as ready, unless you feel I should still add something to them?

In the meantime, a tiny update on the Siege Tanks:

the problem with the siege mortar version is where the cannon meets the housing. If you added some type of elevating gear to the top or at least make it "slot" into the housing it's going to better. Right now it's just stuck onto a flat panel.

Guys...you didn't seriously think I was going to leave the gun like that, right? ;)

The gun still needs some work, including a type of pneumatic pump like device. Kinda need to figure out how I'll add that one in there.

In the meaning I've also started working on another hull variant, namely the open topped one that can house heavy artillery weapons:

(keep in mind that it's an early WIP)

Prefer the barrel from the last picture personally.

Would it not be easier to have the area taken up by both weapons as a plug in. Looking at the above image further up this page of the three hulls together it seems to me that the area taken up by the big laser weapon would be better off as a plug in that way other weapons could be added to the hull at a later date, modular effect again.

I know what you mean regarding the barrel. I will tweak it.

As for the modular effect, keep in mind that part of the hull that's behind the bunker buster weapon is also removable. I'll post a clearer picture of it when I'm back home.
