You wouldn't be able too as the turrets from the elites models have turret rings the size of the back hatches on the trojan, the turret just sits on top of the hatches. The churchillian on the other hand has a more conventional plug for the turret which could probably take your turrets.

I almost universally hate small indented vents on epic scale models. They are another area that seems to have casting issues and even when perfectly cast they tend to make the area look muddy on the tabletop. This is particularly true of the inset vents on the Rhino chassis. There are some examples of ones that have worked all right, typically the engine grates on the top of the 30k stuff and the preds, some of the 30k turret vents.

Just found this little tidbit, might be an idea for turret variants...

I've been removing the rivets, the model feels a bit empty at the moment. Will probably have to add other sorts of details to the hull...

sorry but I love rivets. good points about making sure they're not too close to the edge but removing them entirely just kills the model for me but hey, what do I know? :(

I know what you mean, the character of the model is kinda gone. I need to ponder a bit about them on how to either (a) bring them back or (b) come up with an alternative detailing that'll look as cool if not cooler. :)

Hah! yes, I agree with Jimmy, rivets (I would think of them as large bolts that let you quickly swap out damaged armor plates) are good to have as they provide more detail for the model without a lot of effort. My point was to make you aware of issue that can crop up with them so you could adjust, not remove them entirely!

EDIT: I'm not sure how large these guys are, but I'd aim to keep the rivets about .75mm to 1mm away from the edge of a plate.

The tanks are about 36mm x 21mm.

I've brought back the indented rivets, or perhaps I should have them stick out of the surfaces instead?

I think sticking out would be easier on the molds. Indented would be a tiny little bit of silicone that would get pulled off easily

Just to spit in Jimmy's wheaties (he loves it, really) I have to mention that I actually prefer the cleaner lines without rivets. Details don't have to cover every mm2 of surface of every model. Sometimes simpler is, well, simpler.

Added normal rivets to it again, and also added some additional details.

I'd imagine that if you don't like the rivets, they can easily be removed.

Oh the turrets are still there, just wanted to show you the hull without the turret on top.

I'm still toying with how to design the HMG turret as a separate bit. That way allowing players to also have a totally unarmed version if they'd wanted one. :)
