Netfabb might be a better way to check the stuff. Apparently according to them Shapeways uses their tool as well to check the submitted models.

I tried CADspan, but noticed it seems to contradict Netfabb. So lets say according to CADspan all the surfaces are ok, Netfabb will tell you a whole bunch of them are not. I kinda solved it by using CADspan to convert a Sketchup file into an .stl file and then use Netfabb's cloud service to fix the model.

I like it, it would be a great Combat Servitor for an AdMech army.

Looks like it's been out in a snowstorm :) Might make a cool (hah) theme.

Looks good and thanks for the sketchup info.

Looks like humidity problem with the spray. I get it a lot here in cornwall. Doesn't look un-recoverable... I just scrape with a scalpel and respray.

Thanks but not my original design, it was basically my first proper go at it modelling/printing, its a bit wide and side by side with similar items which have been produced in the past it looks very inferior. The amount of additional detail and gubbinz which need adding is insane but would really improve it, by the same token what I did add was too small so all those rivets I added barely show through. Sadly I'll never get to modify it as I lost the original files in a freakish combined hard drive and backup failure.

I was actually looking at it the other day, it's half painted in my skitarii forces colours but it doesn't really suit them. I think what I'll do is repaint it in a desert scheme to match my minervan forces, once I do that I'll post pics.
