Loving what you are both doing. Concepts to production. |

Thanks for the kind words! Another update on the recon/command/mortar vehicle. I've removed the 'internal side bits'. Felt to me that it made them 'too armoured', also...it takes away a lot of space that could be used to house the crew, extra ammo, etc. Attachment: Attachment: Attachment: Attachment:

Hi, I know I am late - possibly too late - but I was only just able to get a new password again and rejoin the commentary. For the Flamer tanks, I much prefer the original Chem turret - it was visually distinctive whereas the newer updated version looks very close to the others - is much less visually distinctive. My dos centavos... Rob |

Thanks for the feedback! I wasn't really sold on the previous version of the chem cannon, the pointy thing kind of bothered me a bit. Besides, the kit has already been shipped off and Vanguard Games are very happy with it. In the meantime I've continued working on the traitor vehicles. I think the first kit is almost ready, still need to tweak one of the dozer variants and the heavy machines guns (both the hull mounted ones and the twin linked one) a bit and then the kit should be as good as ready. I'm still not sure about adding skulls and other symbols etc to it. The skulls would look a bit cartoonish on this scale (probably my only critique on the amazing evil tanks by Onslaught Miniatures), and the icons on the hull would make it a bit tricky to paint. I guess people could always free hand paint them on there, or use transfers or even etched brass. Another option would be to carve them into the model with a knife or something, but I'd imagine that to be tricky when having a metal model...

Do you think there will be enough of a difference between these and the standard version to make it worth having both? My gut feeling is once printed/mastered/cast the spikes will just look like big rivets...? Sent from my mobile using Tapatalk |

They will make a bit of difference, but largely unless they are a completely different design it's going to be down much more on how you paint them to create differing effects. As for icons if they are sufficiently proud they can easily be picked out with a bit of a dry brush. So no real difficult painting biggy and can help create 'the effect'. |

Keep in mind that the spikes are twice as tall as the rivets, and of course they're spiky. Another thing is that there are more spikes on it than there are rivets on the original design. Then there are the additional spikes on the weapons and turrets. The dozer blade also includes larger blades. |

Suitably spikey for sure. Are these slightly corrupted vehicles something you guys would be interested in? |

Fair enough - just cant help imagining that at 3D printer resolution spikes that small will be a bit hit and miss and then blunted completely when pressed for casting, but im certainly no expert. I do like the scythe like dozer blade though! @MD - haven't got any use myself for the corrupted version but i am trying to find a use for the standard ones - its a great design! Ah thanks chaps it's always good to receive feedback. @ Blip, thanks man it is a design that has grown on me as well I hope to create a Death Korps Assault Brigade with these and some suitable new tanks. |
