Another option would be to do a Blackshields faction, they come in all sorts of colours. Another option would be to paint a 'pre-unity' or 'pre-primarch' scheme of a Legion. The Dusk Raiders (pre-Mortarion Death Guard) were dark grey with a red arm/shoulder for example. |

Not a lot of progress, but some. I wanted to put up this pic, though, since it really points up the really high level of detail in the 3mm Vanguard line. It's pretty amazing. Predator, Rhino, and a closeup on the Sicaran previously seen. Attachment:

Titans are on the march! The I. Legio Titanicus "Ultor" is beginning to shape up to resist the Traitor assault on Ukara Prime. The first Reaver (another preview of soon-to-be-released Vanguard minis) is getting ready for combat. Note the satisfyingly true scaling relative to Terminator infantry. Attachment:

3mm seems to have a real appeal ! I can certainly see the advantages for wargaming ... Especially with longer range weapons in modern and futurist forces. |

I settled on Imperial Fists for the OPFOR, and as you can see, the color contrast works very nicely. Attachment:

I just can't believe how good the models are in 3mm ! Amazing stuff. The finished basing, with symbols, really adds a touch of class and provides a lovely finish. Well done. Phil |
