These look very cool! Cant wait to see more!
What kind of material did you use for 3D prints? I mean "frosted ultra deitai"l or more expensive "frosted extreme detail"

The material was Frosted Ultra Detail, although I didn't see a tremendous increase in cost with Frosted Extreme Detail, but having used FUD before I went with what I knew.

The first platoon of a Hoplite tank company has rolled off the line. I might make the bolters silver but for now I'm kind of erring on the side of caution.

Very, very nice ! So you think FUD is better than FED ? Or ? About the same for these smaller pieces, e.g. 6mm infantry, etc. ? 8)

I have yet to try FXD so I can't say. I know that one of my Hydras came out a little blobby, but that was carelessness with the paint, not a material flaw. I may try a pack of them in FXD in the future as some pieces do show some very small layer marks. That just be the nature of the process.

I am really tempted to start 3mm collection, these tanks lool so cool!
Can you show us some infantry?

I recommend you do! It's a great ancillary scale, since you don't have to break the bank to collect it, and it takes up little space. A full-3D printed army like this is kind of a tour de force for me, but compared to doing the same at even 6mm scale, it's like less than a fifth the price for sure.

Thanks for the compliment, too - I'm working on some Infantry, including a Commissar! Might have them done tonight if I can manage a night off.

Thanks for the intel Mr. Ave ... I'm probably going with FUD if I do order some 6mm Infantry from Shapesway.

For 6mm infantry you might be happier with FXD, since they involve more organic shapes. I know the ones you're thinking of, I bet.

By the way, it seems we've caught the attention of O8 in some regard because I just found out they've released a series of 3mm Scsle Not-Eldar that are currently geeking me the hell out!

Would that constitute a... Promise? A Pico Proxy Pinkie Promise?

If it does, could I lobby for some of those tasty tasty super heavies in 3mm scale?
