Sorry if there is already threats for this, but did not find any.

Have anyone played big titan battles in 2 or 3mm scale?
What rule system did you use?
If so did you make any changes to rules? point cost? range/speed? and so on?

How about infantry and smalller-then-titan-sized vehicles? Are they used? can the game be fun without?

Also proxies or printable minis are they out there?

Thinking about doing some 2d printable minis to test out with. Starting with the imperium of man.

How does the basesizes look to you?

Was the subjugator and questor titans used during the Horus Heresy? if so, anyone know size on them?

I've had this idea for a while of using 6mm minis on 28mm bases for 30k/40k games. Mainly because the weapon ranges in 40k/30k seem way too short for 28mm models.
Really the same applies for Titans (IMHO anyway) so you could just use your 3mm Titans on bigger bases and use the older(or even soon to be released) Adeptus Titanicus rules.
Weapon ranges would probably be representative of those mounted on a Titan. Might be worth considering anyway.

There is an number models that could be used for this GZG has 2 lines. That come to mind. Their 6mm Walkers https://shop.groundzerogames.co.uk/6mm-dirtside.html and 2 mm line https://shop.groundzerogames.co.uk/2mm- ... minis.html could work.

And no matter what version of Epic rules you use should work ... with little modification ...

I havn't no. But I am extremely interested in the idea of 2/3mm scale epic, especially if it was 30k themed.

The new Talos Syndicate mechs from Onslaught ought to make great Titans. Proper style, proper size for 3mm scale.

Epic SHOULD have been 3mm. He'll I could imagine how amazing HH games could have been at that scale.

Well, they still can be. In fact, I'm working on my Word Bearers now! And as for Imperial Guard, well... they're kind of a cinch!

Yes, in "reality" Epic should be 2-3mm based on the fact you have very hi-tech weapon with long ranges, etc.
BUT, GW does not play 40K or as we saw with SM2 that way. It is more about close combat than "real" combined arms maneuver warfare. Instead of resembling more modern conflicts like WWII or current. GW's vision was more like the ACW. Which always was a turn off to me and my crew. We played Epic as hi-tech WWII or Modern.

40K rules were so bad ... and we had little interest in 40K scale models. As in that scale they just kept getting more over-the-top, weird, etc. Like we see with some of the newer FW models. We like very few of these new designs.

But what some also have to remember. And GW has said so. They are more of a model making company that a war gaming company. And generally 40K and SM2 clearly demonstrated that. If like me have been an old school wargamer. And actually play real war games that rules were more important than figures. Most even used cardboard counters and no models at all ... GW's rules were generally found lacking ... to say the least, IMO. ^-^

I think using 28mm rules wouldn't be too out of place, if it's just titans vs titans, at this scale infantry would looks like they're always in hth pushing the front back and forth.
Never played Ogre but this might be more reflective of modern warfare.

Maybe write your own rules?
