Well, because of the other thread on here, I've been going through all my Epic-40K stuff (rule and army books etc).

And the wierd thing was, I found myself missing the game. I haven't been playing Epic-A much lately either. I think its got something to do with how regularly things are changing. I struggle to keep up. Also, I'm pretty sick of the bundles of paper with the rules on.

Anyway, I have been teaching a guy BFG. He knows about my obsession with Epic, and offered to let me teach him that too. I was going to use the Epic-A rules, but have decided that using Epic-40k would be easier for him. Especially with the similarities to BFG.

Also, I just see us having more fun with Epic-40K. Mainly as the rules are set, and actual books are available.

I will add to this thread when I have more details, and then when we have a game planned. Hopefully, I will go onto do a battle report.

Don't suppose you could submit the report to Incoming! please? It is incoming@netepic.org

It is just that BReps are kinda rare nowadays ;).

No problem.  It will be a good way of learning for him too, by me taking notes.  (I think)

Lol, at least at the end you could have the 'Where I went wrong', and 'What went right' sections.

In the two BReps from me, Battle for Baena V and Rannus VII? The feedback section was VERY useful for us and tends to be one of the most interesting parts of the battle report. A small section on why you chose your army is also useful.

Nothing wrong with playing E40K. E-A is still un-published, so regardless of the play testing and downloadable rules, the total package (including new models)  is still an unfulfilled expectation ... only time will tell ?  ???

Hi!

Going back through older rules systems is always a nostalgia filled trip. Of course once the initial thrill is over, you begin to remember exactly why you stopped playing it in the first place.

In any case its good thing that your showing a new gamer how to enjoy and play epic.
