I've spent a good few years collecting chaos-y bits to start a proper Thirteenth Black Crusade, and I think I finally have minis I need. Now, all I need is motivation and time to finish assembly and painting.

So, to help me stay focused, another TOEG for this year - we'll get to Cadia before Christmas!

First up, the Warlord and his retinue:

Lord Hadraniel and his personal retinue.
The retinue are survivors of a Black Legion host that was decimated during the 12th Black Crusade, but was led from entrapment and defeat by the sudden appearance of Hadraniel. Hadraniels origins are a mystery, but the surviving legionnaires in his retinue are fiercely loyal to him, no matter his history. Sometime since the last crusade, Hadraniel bound a small sect of Obliterators to his personal service, and they serve as his bodyguard.

Thanks all.

After ETC 2017 I got a new appreciation for what the Black Legion can do, and impetus to continue on the project.

Also, I realized that I need to rethink the list a lot - it needs lots of activations and Daemons everywhere. So, the planned Banelord has been postponed, and I'll probably drop Chaos Armour altogether.

But, Deathwheels are always useful:

The paired Deathwheels Phobos and Deimos are Daemon-infused War Engines traded from a Dark Mechanium Forgeworld in exchange for a 10.000 colonists captured en route to a newly-reclaimed agri-world.

Retinues too - I'll be including formations aligned to all four Gods; The first is a Nurgle-aligned chaos warband.

The Everliving (Nurgle-aligned Retinue): another fallen space marine company now worshipping Nurgle in return for even longer life. Joined Hadraniel for the 13th Crusade.

The second is a Khorne-aligned wardand.

The Glorious Incarnadine (Khorne-aligned Retinue): remnants of a forgotten space marine chapter that went renegade in M35. Fled to the Eye after losing their rebellion, and joined Hadraniels forces for the 13th Crusade, needing no persuasion apart from a promise of bloodshed. The chapter is much diminished over the millennia, but still only live for the glory of battle.

In competitive play I'll lose the cult marines and the Nurgle Land Raiders too; They're just included for the spectacle (and the Banelord will get done too, I just need a million Daemons first....)

The different aligned warbands are really working well, it will be great to see the whole army come together.
