After the usual long silence, Salute yesterday has prompted a minor update.

I made it over to Zinge Industries' stand and picked up some of their triangular track units which look like a great fit for the Plauguelord conversion:

It may need to be bumped up a bit in height, being not much taller than the Warhound. This will probably be by adding some angled suspension from the hip to the track units which will also be a good way to get more distance between the tracks.

Also, some suitably Nurglesque dice for all the Disrupt weaponry.

That looking great - looking forward to more of your insane creations ! :-)

I've been tied up with infinity lately (or at least old school GW stuff that i'm using as proxies.) Heard that the guys from Truro had a great time at the Exeter tournament. Your YAMS cards really make the game interesting - there really should be an Epic conversion...

:)

Blip - I've wondered about porting YAMS to other systems but Epic would need quite a bit of work given how tightly wrapped the game is to the tournament scenario. Stuff like units garrisoning is tied into the objectives placed by the opponent which are tied into the standard scenario...

Ta!

I've firmed up the structure of the tracks-to-hip area. Taking some biomechanical cues from assorted artwork I'm planning to use some Tyranid bits to form the 'suspension':

The main torso will then sit on top of this with the joins hidden by a skirt of cut up Carnifex plates, plus part of a Carnifex head as an bulging sac at the back:

Your attention to detail and knack for finding and mealding seemingly unrelated bits is astounding! Looking forward to seeing this finished.

As for the YAMS - sure, it wouldn't work as a straight conversion but i think the concept is very easy to translate. I think it combines the freedom to just turn up.and play blind with a pre-designed list with the interest of scenario play really well. The magic is that while all the objectives are plain to.see on the table the ones that actually count are hidden. Lots of fun when you reveal that actually you never needed to.search the crate or reach the deployment zone etc. While your opponent has spent all game stopping you! ;)

Things like garrisons would be worked out - the biggest issue i see is the lake of specialists - thought i guess they could be assigned to units like a free character...

Looking great! The only thing I feel looks a bit out of place is that insect butt. Might look batter painted...
