I've got B Platoon of the 21st Company 232nd Hrin done

As well as that I've finished the Command Tank of the 22nd Company. As you can see Captain Valerian's ride is rather brighter than the other tanks in the formation. It's somewhat inspired by the bomber leader schemes for martialling air groups.

Technically I've actually competed the Company Card for the 22nd but I've decided to add some support armour and use the narrative rather than official companies for the challenge.

Batch painting is your friend. I have several small batches on the go at once so some things always nearly finished to push me on with painting. It helps that all the formations so far have been batch sized one of the reasons my Chaos Terminator formation took so long was how mixed the Chaos sprue was and it had been vaguely on the go since this spring. Basically 5 infantry bases or 3 vehicles is a comfortable batch and that's a formation so it works well.

So onto the new tanks. These are my Hellhounds based on the Rosomakha Light Tank. The original version would make an excellent Salamander or Predator but I wanted Hellhounds. These were made with some Styrene Rod and an Epic IG banner as the nozzle I also turned the hull around.

They are really nice I like the fact they look higher tech than modern tech but still look like pragmatic practical pieces of heavy metal. Many sci-fi vehicles are overly fancy for military kit. The fact they are cheap enough to use en masse without breaking the bank also helps.

Got the company for March in early.

I actually did complete A platoon and the Command HQ this month


These are regular Imperial Guard Assault Infantry. Currently I'm hoping for a job and funds before adding some infantry. I'm looking at C-in-C but given how long they've taken to dispatch my order to the shop I might move onto something else. As you may know Wargames Emporium has taken on the Baccus line and I've been told they have some less retro infantry in the pipeline. This may be worth looking into.

But before that I've got some Basilisks ( Brigade Model Molotoks) for you to enjoy

These are my Leman Russ Conquerors simply substituted the muzzle of the Bizon's Gun for the gun from an Ork battlewagon. These will be fielded as part of a Leman Russ Assault Company.

D Platoon 1st Company 232nd Hrin Infantry

1st Company is the Command Company of the 232nd and has these Chimedon's (Brigade Suwalskis with AT guns) for assignation as rapid transport and heavy fire support.

As well as that the first titan of Legio Facum Iultionis is assembled

Candente Iultionis mounts Volcano Cannons and Turbo Lasers to provide some heavy titan killing bite to the army group. Frankly my guard army has enough artillery that extra won't be as useful as titan killing fury for the force.

Well time for some news. Basically I'll be starting a new job in April. This means I'll have money which I've already blown on a large order from SEM. My mortars have also arrived and I treated myself to some Jetbikes. Equally modelling and painting time will get more awkward. I also have to order a large batch of bases as well. So this means updates might get far sparser.

Been playing with those new mortars to get some Bombards as a decent sized Siege Mortar is not part of the Neo-Soviet range.


Mild fudging to get the look right and various hulls due to what I have spare from the artillery packs.

Speaking of Artillery I've just got these Deathstrikes for some old school charm

I'm still after a 3rd Epic 40k era one if anybody has one to spare?

The unusual idea of having money has also caused me to wonder about new treats. The SEM infantry has been ordered and I'm still waiting on Troublemaker Games to deliver. Hopefully they've received my change of address details. My mind has wandered on to the question of expansion Super Heavy Tanks are a must have and Exodus Wars has them covered as far as I'm concerned wonderful models. I'd also like a Valkyrie stand-in again Exodus Wars has some nice stuff but I'm actually seriously considering Brigades Hornisse Interceptor. Has anybody got shots of it by other models for comparison?
