Not sure what game this army will exactly be for, but I am going to base these guys on 40x20 bases like all of my previous armies so they can be used for a variety of systems.

I don't actually have the production castings of these yet, and probably won't for another 3 weeks or so. In the meantime I will be painting up some of the master castings in order to come to a decision on color schemes.

Currently the army is going to look something like this:

180 x Lizardmen Spearmen (12 bases, 15 per base)
216 x Lizardmen Warriors (12 bases, 18 per base)
144 x Lizardmen Archers (12 bases, 12 per base)
8 bases Ceratopsid Guard. Not sure on how many figures per base yet...
24 x Lizard-Ogres (8 bases, 3 per base)
40 x Pachysephalosaur Shock Cavalry (8 bases, 5 per base)
6 x Triceratops Battlewagons (3 bases, 2 per base)
12 x Anklyosaur Support platforms (4 bases, 3 per base)
1 x Brachiosaur

I have most of the color scheme planned out, but I'm not sure how it will actually execute. I'm particularly worried about the lizard ogres and the cavalry, as I plan to go for a brown tan top skin and a light ivory underbelly on these.

Progress so far: 1 Lizardmen spearman painted...179 to go. I went with a gnarloc green base, highlighted with goblin green. The chest area I based in Iyanden Darksun, highlighted with RMS Golden Blond. I am going for a turqoisie sort of shield. I need to paint a couple more and then I will take some pics.

Got some pics of the spearmen today. They are kind of a little hunched over, so they are difficult to take frontal shots of. The highlighting on the green also didn't come out in the pics like I wanted it to:

And a size comparison with a dwarf and dread elf:

I am hoping to paint the samples of the warriors, archer, and ceratopsids over the next few days so I can take pictures over the weekend. After that is the rough stuff, I have to figure out the scheme for the cavalry and Lizard-Ogres.

Finished the test paints of the warriors and archers, started on the Ceratopsids.

Should be getting thousands of the buggers in the mail next week.

I kind of want to paint the eyes...but when painting so many figures I think it may cost me my sanity.

It has been slow going, but I finally finished a few more. I still have to do the Command group, the BRachiosaur, the shaman topper for the triceratops and the anklyosaur. The brach and the ank. are about 60% done.

Ceratopsids - I think I may modify how I did their skin in the future, but I was reasonably okay with them:

Lizard Ogres - My favorite of the bunch:

Bonehead Cavalry:

Triceratops (still need to do the shaman topper):
