Just a little update, since my long awaited shipment has finally appeared. Only two weeks to go until the deadline, though... I hope I can find time over the next week to base and spray-prime the missing units.

I need to finish the following:

At least 8 Chimeras that are already based and primed
8 stands of infantry with supreme commander

This should enable me to field about 2000 points. Haven't written the list yet, will do for the next update. Then there are quite a few optional units I have the models for, but don't know how they will fit into my army. I need to decide which of those I'll include in the army, then paint them up.

Optional units:

Another 6 Leman russ
Another 8 Chimeras
8 Rough riders
Kitbashed Shadowsword
Kitbashed Baneblade
Vanquisher
2 stands of ogryns
Kitbashed Warhound which isn't even built yet...

I don't know if I can finish all the leman russes in time. Would be nice to field 3 companies, as I have too many detachments for just 2 companies...

I'll post pictures once progress is made!

Just a little update before Christmas!

Due to life, I could not get that much done, but I'm quite happy with the army I can show at my gaming group's christmas meet-up. The recent shipment of models now has bases and is primed, which is at least something. I can now field about 4300 points of models!

Among the freshly primed units are two that I'm totally in love with: My kitbashed Baneblade and his Shadowsword buddy! Both of them started life as prepainted Mechwarrior minis, were never used and waited years and years to be resurrected as SHTs. I pimped them with plasticard, Tau bits and some pieces of a Star Wars model kit I bought for the bits.

Have fun and merry Christmas!

Baneblade:
A word about scale: Each of the four tracks of the Baneblade is about the size of a Leman Russ track. The Shadowsword is about the same size as the Baneblade.

Another post because of the attachment limit.

Shadowsword:
I like the totally-not-compensating-for-something gun!
