For last years EpicUK Grand Tournament I painted myself a 3000pt Baran Seige Masters Army that many of you will have seen over on my painting blog...despite it being ground into the...erm...ground at that event...it did look real purdy once I'd painted it up all nice and weathered:









And I was pretty happy with how it ended up :-) FoW bases, lot's of room for infantry, plenty of nice non gw miniatures. It's how I roll!

Well, this summer I'd like to finish my guard collection. The idea behind the models included are that they will allow me to field a multiple of lists from across the Imperial Spectrum such as Steel Legion, Seige Masters, Death Korps, Mossinians, Minervans, etc...with the addition of titans, ordinatii and air cav units it'll be able to do several other lists too: but for now I'll be concentrating on what's on my shelves before diving headlong into any other forces!

Loved your Siegemasters. Great idea to have modular IG to represent a variety of IG Army Lists. Can't wait to see this summer's work.

Yep, Infantry are bog standard EW Royal Empire Conscripts, the Commander Stands are all GW Character Packs and Heavy Weapons. I have no idea what the flock is anymore as it's all in a see through zip lock bag now with no brand name. THe 'muddy' bases however are created with 'Pidera Pomez' Coarse Pumice paste. This is then painted brown and given a coat of Army Painter medium QuickShade.

Don't worry! I'll still do a how to on the Macharius'! But here's this months batch (excluding them) ready for a big tourney in May: I'm sure there will be chargrin at my taking Siege Troops to a tourney yet again but I just need the focus to get stuff painted!



That's 725pts worth...roughly 1450 plus the Machs.
